For the August 2014 cover of Vogue, Blake Lively explored new frontiers in a Western-inspired shoot in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Oribe took inspiration from his surroundings and created what he called “natural, effortless, personalized waves.” When attempting this style at home, Oribe recommends working with what you’ve already got: “Whatever natural movement you actually have in your hair is your individual wave pattern,” he said. “Don’t try to force a different texture with a curling iron; you can, however, enhance your natural wave with products that encourage texture.”
Get the look:
1. Wash hair with Signature Shampoo, then apply Signature Masque to achieve a base of well-conditioned hair.
2. Use a blow-dryer to dry hair against the grain of the hair (opposite the way your hair grows).
3. Use Soft Dry Conditioner Spray throughout the hair, then add Dry at the crown or wherever you want more shape. Hair should have separation and fullness but still look natural.
