Welcome back to my bridal blog! For those who don’t know me, my name is Meghan, and I am a 2025 bride getting married in May – eekkk!! The big day is sneaking up on me and it’s the final countdown. One thing that was on my final to do list was my hair and makeup consultation, and I recently checked that off.
A hair and makeup consultation or trial gives you a preview into how you will look on your big day and helps refine what you like and don’t like in terms of your hair and makeup so when the day comes you can get ready without a hitch and feel confident.
Here are a couple of hair/makeup tips for future brides:
- While this may seem like common sense, make sure you actually book your consultation. This may seem like one of the smaller things on your wedding planning to do list and can get overlooked, but trust me you don’t want to end up hating how you look on your wedding day. You want to feel beautiful and confident – so don’t leave things up to chance. Get your consultation on the books as a practice run for your actual wedding day!
- Don’t be afraid to tell your hair stylist or makeup artists what you don’t like. They will be more than happy to make changes to what you like and it’s better to speak up than to stay silent and not be completely happy with how your look turned out.
- Go into the appointment with inspiration pics for how you want your hair and makeup – this will help your hair stylist/makeup artist a lot and not leave them guessing!
I have to say my consultation went AMAZING! And here’s a little sneak peak into my hair and makeup look👀
