Check out a little info about Bumble and Bumble’s latest below, and check in with us in the coming weeks when we’ll have these awesome new products available for purchase! “Bumble and Bumble is releasing two new products and this time they’re for the Thickening family. To give you ladies (and selected gentlemen) that sexy, huge- Barbarella hair, the product giant has released Thickening Mousse and Creme Contour. Wait, did you just say mousse? Yes, that’s right. Bb has released it’s very own mousse. However, do not get it confused with the mousse you used in the late 90s. You know, the one you used to make your hair crunchy-ahem- I mean, scrunchy. Here’s a little history for you provided by the good people at Bumble: “In 1989, Bumble and bumble invented Thickening Hairspray, which would become an indispensible setting spray in our hairdresser’ kits. Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner soon followed, creating a trio with a cult following.” “Bb.Editorial Stylist Jimmy Paul is known for putting his signature big, sexy, ultra–feminine styles on the front pages of major fashion publications. It was his innovative vision and close partnership that brought to life two new shape–makers that take fullness into new dimensions:Full Form Mousse and Creme Contour. Designed to lift, sculpt, shape and contour, they combine to offer nearly infinite ways to style to the fullest.” So what exactly is this Thickening Mousse and what’s it supposed to do? According to Bumble Network Educators, “Thickening Full Form Mousse is a cushiony creme mousse that inflates hair as you add heat to lift, sculpt and hold full-bodied silhouettes. Hair has a fuller look and feel with a natural sheen and healthy bounce, and never feels crunchy or heavy.” How do you use it? Bb. suggests using the mousse when hair is damp “because moisture makes it easier to work the mousse through, then adding heat makes hair inflate. Work through hair then blow dry to build and sculpt hairstyles.” Full Form Mousse is designed to be used with a blowdryer to give hair all of that body. You can still use it on dry hair, especially if you desire some volume at the roots. However, once you do that, blast hair quickly with the blow-dryer to sculpt the style. What about the Creme Contour? What is that? “Thickening Creme Contour is a dense, pliable shaping creme that melts in hands to a sheer, delicate paste to create hi-definition silhouettes. It finishes full styles and creates fine, finger-made contours, supple drape and a luxurious, lived-in quality.” Keep in mind that it is a finishing product, which is ideal for DRY hair. What hair lengths are ideal for the Creme Contour? Short-haired beauties can use the creme “for control, definition and supple shaping.” No matter how much you use on your locks, it won’t weigh hair down. For those with hair on the longer side, you can use the creme to add sheen and “lived-in definition”.”
