We are thrilled to announce the addition of a new Master Stylist, Younghawk Bautista, to the team of hair designers at DeRiah Boutique Salon. Younghawk’s profound portfolio of experience is an anomaly among Milwaukee hair salons and we are honored to have him as part of our team.
Younghawk’s unique approach to hair and beauty is a hybrid of classic shapes combined with modern styling techniques to produce work that evokes a timeless, chic appeal – an approach fueled by iconic images from film and fashion.
After spending much of his adult life in San Francisco, CA and New York City, Younghawk was led to the world of beauty in 2003. As a Milwaukee native, he decided to return to the city and studied at the VICI Aveda Institute. Younghawk also received advanced training at Beauty in Milwaukee where he was mentored by top experts in color, cutting, and styling.
His impressive resume of experience is rooted in specific training with Goldwell Color, Bumble and bumble. cutting and styling techniques, and the renowned Vidal Sassoon. His high level of education has formed his well-rounded approach to hairdressing, pleasing many clients and creative collaborators alike throughout his career.
After five years of building his career in Milwaukee, Younghawk decided to return to New York City to experience the fast-paced, high-profile clientele of the busy metropolis. His numerous experiences in New York City, including managing a successful SoHo hair salon and working with the acclaimed Broadway musical, Wicked, gave him a valuable array of skills and perspectives. His time in New York City offered many opportunities to elevate his craft and, as a result, refined his aesthetic to be more globally attuned.
Younghawk draws from his unique life and beauty industry experiences to offer his clients trendy, sensible styles that complement their own unique characteristics. He is thrilled to be at a point in his career where he is able to explore new skills and meet new people.
