DeRiah Boutique & Salon is always proud to be a part of Milwaukee’s great arts and cultural scene by participating in local events and promotions. This July 29th, DeRiah is excited to announce the downtown, gallery night opening of Living Native Concepts: Exploring Culture Through the Arts, a collaborative display in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. Hosted by Arts@Large, Living Native Concepts: Exploring Culture Through the Arts is a product of the multidisciplinary, collective effort of Kagel Elementary School students and local artists. A continuation of the celebration of Aztec culture that began in May, this show will display a variety of cultural projects in conjunction with a dance by the students. During the dance, performers will be wearing authentic, Aztec inspired headdresses fashioned by DeRiah! So come out to help support local artists and students, and say “hi” to the DeRiah team! The event will take place at the newly opened Gallery@Large. The gallery is currently displaying other works by local students and artists and will remain a venue open to displaying pieces for a variety of shows in the future.
